What's all this about?
The Great2Go trial will determine whether Northern Tasmania can launch a sustainable region-wide low-waste system.

Every Great2Go
container can help us unlock
Stage 2 funding.
Participating pubs, restaurants will be provided with take-away containers that are 100% compostable and worm friendly. During the campaign they will measure the amount of food and plastic waste they have diverted from landfill.
You can help by looking out for the Great2Go symbol displayed by participating venues and supporting them.

Food waste is one of the most harmful sources of climate changing emissions..
Together with plastic too much ends up in landfill.

With your help we are exploring the barriers to reducing food and plastic waste in the Northern Tasmanian hospitality sector.

Look out for this logo!
Participating venues will display this logo on a poster or on their menu. You can help by looking out for the Great2Go symbol displayed by participating venues and supporting them. When you ask for a doggy bag or take-away ask:
'Can I please have it in a Great2Go container?'

Great to go - into your compost, worm farm or Council FOGO bin.

Reducing food waste and plastic is
something we can all do.

We are looking for restaurants, cafes and pubs to join us in the trial.
PHASE 1: We are looking to get feedback from our all our participants to look at how together we can implement some long term solutions.
PHASE 2: Using what we learn from Phase 1, we will work with all our participants to implement longer term solutions.
