



Are you a passionate young or emerging filmmaker eager to share powerful stories that drive awareness and action around food and our food system?
The sixth edition of the World Food Forum Youth Film Festival held by the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations is now open for submissions!
Over the past five years, this global short film competition has grown into one of the most influential platforms for visual storytelling for agri-food systems, and an excellent platform for young and emerging filmmakers around the world.
There are six categories designed to explore the issues that are confronting the future of food around our planet, covering such subjects as food heritage, climate change resilience and biodiversity, gender equity in agriculture and food systems, innovation and health and well being.
Submissions must be submitted by July 14, 2026.

* Categories: The 2026 edition features six categories: Food Heritage, Climate, Oceans, Women in Agri-food Systems, Food Processing, and Health & Nutrition.
* Eligibility: Open to young filmmakers aged 18–35.

* Awards: Winners will have their films screened at the FAO headquarters in Rome and receive USD 500.
